In the December 2023 issue of Healthcare Design magazine, 3F30 Architects was featured for our renovation of the Platte County Health Department and the consolidation of the South Wing Corridor. 3F30 not only designed this new space, we also aided in locating, analyzing, and choosing a space that was originally built as a daycare. The unused 24,000 square feet building was a great fit and location for the use of PCHD, which then involved “surgically” reusing the infrastructure and systems in order to benefit and meet departmental programming requirements. This included consolidating two existing dark and cramped locations into a brighter, more efficient working space that now provides various community services.
The Healthcare Design magazine serves an audience of hospital administrators, architects, interior designers, facility managers, engineers, and key members of the construction community. With their goal to help this audience navigate the current healthcare landscape and manage evolving expecations surrounding design and architecture, 3F30 was honored to be considered as a finalist.
