Pioneer Music Company is located in Lenexa, Kansas. The renovation had multiple facets and covered a few regions within the building. In all, the renovation encompasses 3,000 SF of office remodel and 4,000 SF of showroom and retail support. While the office remodel was primarily finish updates and facility upgrades, the main focus was on the showroom and retail support portion. This portion was carved out from the existing warehouse.
Firstly, the east exterior facade was addressed. Old overhead doors were transformed into a new public entry. It consists of new storefront capped with an awning and space above for signage. 2 openings on either side received masonry infill and clerestory windows. The transmission of daylight elevates what was a dark space. Upon entry, a reception space with greets consumers. The spacious sales floor handles casual sales transactions. Its tall ceilings aid in scale and openness. For privacy, 5 office flank the sales floor. Warehouse access to goods is on the south and west sides.
In addition to the sales floor, the Pioneer Music Company required a training space. This is located to the north of the showroom. Sized to hold 20 tables, seating 2 people at each, it will serve both sales and administrative functions of the company.
