The Sandbox – PowerPlay Metro North

Ready to Play?  The Sandbox at PowerPlay Metro North can help you get your game on.

This Kansas City Northland project serves as an excellent entertainment destination.  In the first place, it is in a prime location off Hwy 169 and Barry Road. In addition, it is close to other exciting entertainment venues in the area.  The project’s uniqueness comes from what the venue has to offer.  This is equally important as it stands out as a go to spot.  3F30 is happy to have been able to create an environment for The Sandbox to bring all its activities together.

A new building, approximately 4,000 SF in size.  Not only does it anchor the site, but also is the hub for thrilling activities and good eats & drinks.  There are beach sand volleyball courts to the south.  The pickleball courts are on the north.  Similarly, both play host to the casual player or for those participating in local leagues.  For an additional thrill, one can sail along the 100’ tall zip line course. Furthermore, the building has flexibility for the seasons, hence the presence of large overhead doors.  These can be opened during sunny weather allowing patrons to interact with the courts more freely.  Additionally, there is rooftop seating which gives a great view of the action below.

PowerPlay is located to the south of The Sandbox.  Together with PowerPlay’s aid in planning, a go-kart course was placed on site in between the two venues.  A car pit building for the course was constructed as an addition to the PowerPlay building.

As a result of good design, The Sandbox at PowerPlay Metro North has become a hopping joint.
