Subway Exterior Renovation – Lansing

The Subway Exterior Renovation – Lansing project revived an aged building and site.  Because the existing lot was busted up, inlet, curbs, sidewalks, and parking were repaved. Furthermore, vegetation also creeped into damaged concrete. Hence, green space and landscaping boundaries were re-established.

Similarly, the existing building received a major facelift.  For instance, the front facade was a mix of parapet and mansard elements.  Roof tiles were worn, EIFS and masonry were discolored, metal lighting housing dinged, and fluorescent light strips exposed.  Consequently, this all easily aged the building.  Subway’s neighbor seemed non-existent. The entry door to the neighboring business was located on the side and not easily visible.  Plus, the existing signage on the building only promoted Subway.

To start, exiting masonry was maintained, repaired, and cleaned.  Parapets covered existing mansard elements and tied into existing structure.  The coping wraps the north and south sides.  Fluorescent strip lights were removed and replaced with efficient lighting.  The EIFS coloring is toned down. The result is a modern look with a sense of prominence. Additionally, the renovation allows Subway’s neighbor to have more presence.  First, signage space was allocated. Secondly, the storefront system was reconfigured so that the front door is visible from the street.  To sum up, the Subway Exterior Renovation – Lansing is a welcoming location for businesses and consumers alike.
