Xpress Mart – Jackson Avenue

Grand impact on a small site for Xpress Mart – Jackson Avenue.

Xpress Mart acquired an existing fueling station along Jackson Avenue.  The overall existing conditions were not desirable.  Firstly, the pre-existing building was in disrepair.  Secondly, the site had 2 small fueling canopies.  Most importantly, the existing fuel tanks were exposed.  Consequently, the site was razed for new construction.

The philosophy of Xpress Mart is being a good neighbor.  To prevent erosion, residential fences were replaced and reinforced.  Once new retaining walls were constructed along the back of the property, the new building set further into the site.  This resulted in better vehicular circulation and parking.  New underground fuel tanks were also installed per code and safety requirements. Besides site physical considerations, sight and sound was addressed.  Thus the tall parapets on the building block views of mechanical equipment.  Additionally, lighting for the site does not impede residential properties.  Xpress Mart also installed signs detouring loitering and loud music.  The neighborhood also had high anticipation of goods for sale at the convenience store.  Like many Xpress Marts in local neighborhoods, the fares previously not offered expanded.  For example, this location added a pizza kitchen.

Certainly, Xpress Mart – Jackson Avenue is a great source of commerce that serves the local community.
