Jack In The Box

Currently under construction, this is one of the few Jack in the Box and convenience store hybrids in the U.S.

3F30 had the pleasure of coordinating with Jack in the Box (JIB) corporate to implement their design into this project.  This is a franchise owned business with the Owner operating both convenience store and restaurant.  Hence why it is in one building.  Starting with a prototype of a free-standing JIB, modifications were made to suit the connection to the convenience store.  Operations are strictly carry-out and drive-thru.  Consequently, there is no dining room.  However, this allowed for a prominent sales area on the interior of the space.  One can order food without being in the car or doing a pre-order pick up.

Both the interior and exterior are the brand standards.  The materials and pop of color give prominence attracting customers.  Additionally, the kitchen and sales layouts are efficient.  A benefit of coordinating with JIB was troubleshooting the fine details with being attached to a convenience store.  For example, grease mitigation systems were rerouted as the exterior port had to be relocated.  Or making modifications to the drawings with corporate updates to the prototype and ensuring it works with the building.  Communication is key for success.

Unfortunately, 3F30 has had little involvement in the construction administration process. However, this will be a great addition to the metro Northland.
